Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 And the clouds bearing a load. 2 and those that speed along with gentle ease, 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 surely that you are promised is true, 5 the Judgement will surely come to pass -- 6 CONSIDER the firmament full of starry paths! 7 surely you are deeply at variance [as to what to believe] -- 8 he is turned away from [the truth] who is destined to be so turned away. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: 11 They ask: When is the day of judgment? 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 "Taste you your trial (burning)! This is what you used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and fresh springs of water, 15 Taking that which their Lord will vouchsafe unto hem. Verily they have been before that well-doers. 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 And every morning asked forgiveness, 18 And in their substance was the right of the beggar and non-beggar. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 And in heaven is [the source of] your sustenance [on earth] and [of] all that you are promised [for your life after death]: 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as surely true as that you have speech. 23
