The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Magnify the Name of thy Lord the Most High 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success, 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
