The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Read with the name of your Lord Who created, 1 created Man of a blood-clot. 2 Read and your Lord is Most Honorable, 3 He Who taught (the use of) the pen,- 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 Nay, but man doth transgress all bounds, 6 Because he sees himself self-sufficient. 7 Surely to your Lord is the return. 8 Have you seen one who prevents 9 A votary when he (turns) to pray? 10 Have you seen if he was upon guidance 11 or orders piety? 12 Have you thought that if he denies and turns away, 13 Does he, then, not know that God sees [all]? 14 Nay, but if he cease not We will seize him by the forelock - 15 the lying, rebellious forehead! 16 Then, let him call (for help) to his council (of comrades): 17 We will call the guards of Hell (to deal with him)! 18 Nay, pay thou no heed to him, but prostrate thyself [before God] and draw close [unto Him]! ۩ 19
Almighty God's Truth.
