Lo! those who ward off (evil) are among gardens and watersprings. 45 "Enter in peace and tranquility," (they will be told). 46 And [by then] We shall have removed whatever unworthy thoughts or feelings may have been [lingering] in their breasts, [and they shall rest] as brethren, facing one another [in love] upon thrones of happiness. 47 No weariness will come upon them, nor will they be sent away from there. 48 ۞ Tell My servants I am the All-forgiving, the All-compassionate, 49 And that indeed the punishment of Mine is a painful punishment. 50 And inform them of Ibrahim’s guests. 51 (How) when they came in unto him, and said: Peace. He said: Lo! we are afraid of you. 52 Said they: "Fear not! Behold, we bring thee the glad tiding of [the birth of] a son who will be endowed with deep knowledge." 53 Abraham said: "What, do you give me this tiding though old age has smitten me? Just consider what tiding do you give me!" 54 They replied: 'In truth we have given you glad tidings, do not be one of those who despair' 55 He said: And who despaireth of the mercy of his Lord save those who are astray? 56 He added: "And what [else] may you have in view, O you [heavenly] messengers?" 57 They said: Surely we are sent towards a guilty people, 58 Except Lut's followers: We will most surely deliver them all, 59 except his wife. We have decreed that she will be among those who remain behind [and will be lost]. 60
