Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 These are Verses of the Wise Book,- 2 for a guidance and a mercy to the good-doers 3 Those who establish worship and pay the poor-due and have sure faith in the Hereafter. 4 These are on guidance from their Lord, and these! they are the blissful ones. 5 But there are, among men, those who purchase idle tales, without knowledge (or meaning), to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah and throw ridicule (on the Path): for such there will be a Humiliating Penalty. 6 When Our verses are recited before them they turn away haughtily as though they did not hear them, as if a deafness had come into their ears. So give them tidings of a shameful punishment. 7 Surely those who believe and do good deeds shall have Gardens of Bliss. 8 They will abide in them for ever. The promise of God is true; and He is all-mighty and all-wise. 9 He hath created the heavens that ye behold without pillars, and hath cast into the earth firm mountains lest it move away with you; and He hath scattered thereon every kind of animal. And We send down water from the heaven and We make grow every kind of goodly growth therein. 10 Such is the creation of Allah; now show me what, other than Him, created! No, the harmdoers are in clear error. 11
