Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 As justification or warning, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 For the living and the dead, 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
