The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Recite in the name of your Lord Who created, 1 Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). 2 Read and your Lord is Most Honorable, 3 Who teacheth by the pen, 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 Yes indeed, man is surely rebellious. 6 because he thinks that he is independent. 7 Surely your returning is to your Lord. 8 Did you see him who forbids 9 a worshipper from praying? 10 Hast thou seen if he relieth on the guidance (of Allah) 11 and enjoins piety? 12 What thinkest thou? If he cries lies, and turns away - 13 Knoweth he not that Allah doth see? 14 Nay, but if he cease not We will seize him by the forelock - 15 A forelock that lies, is sinful. 16 Then, let him call (for help) to his council (of comrades): 17 We will call on the angels of punishment (to deal with him)! 18 Beware! Do not obey him, but bow in adoration and draw near (to your Lord). ۩ 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
