The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 As they sat around it 6 to watch what they were doing to the believers, 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
