The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Recite in the name of your Lord who created - 1 created the human from a (blood) clot. 2 Recite: and your Lord is Most Generous, 3 who has taught [man] the use of the pen 4 Taught man that which he knew not. 5 And yet, but yet man is rebellious, 6 because he thinks himself self-sufficient: 7 truly, all will return to your Lord. 8 Have you seen one who prevents 9 A servant when he prays? 10 What is your opinion – if he were upon guidance, 11 or enjoins true piety? 12 What thinkest thou? If he cries lies, and turns away - 13 Does he not know that Allah does see? 14 And yet indeed if he does not desist We shall drag him by the forelock, 15 A forelock that lies, is sinful. 16 Then, let him call (for help) to his council (of comrades): 17 and We too will call the stern and angry keepers of hell. 18 Nay! (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him))! Do not obey him (Abu Jahl). Fall prostrate and draw near to Allah! ۩ 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
