The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 And when the stars fall, 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 when ten-month pregnant camels are left untended, 4 when the savage beasts shall be brought together, 5 And when the seas shall be filled, 6 and when all human beings are coupled [with their deeds,] 7 and when the girl-child buried alive shall be asked: 8 For what sin she was killed 9 and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 And when hell is further enflamed. 12 when Paradise shall be brought nigh, 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 and the morn as it breathes. 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 of power, given a rank by the Owner of the Throne 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 And your comrade is not mad. 22 And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. 23 And he is not avid of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of a stoned satan. 25 Where then are you going? 26 This is naught else than a reminder unto creation, 27 For whoever wills among you to take a right course. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
