Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Certainly the news of the calamity that will overwhelm has come to you! 1 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated (in the Hell-fire, i.e. the faces of all disbelievers, Jews and Christians, etc.). 2 Laboring, toiling, 3 Scorched by burning fire, 4 Given water from the boiling spring to drink. 5 They shall have no food but of thorns, 6 Which neither give strength nor satisfy the hunger. 7 (Other) faces on that day shall be happy, 8 With their endeavour well pleased. 9 In a high Garden. 10 where they will hear no idle talk, 11 Therein will be a running spring, 12 And within it are couches placed on high, 13 and goblets placed ready, 14 well-placed cushions, 15 And rich carpets (all) spread out. 16 Look they not at the camels, how they are created? 17 how the heavens are raised up high, 18 And the mountains, how they were fixed; 19 And at the Earth, how it is spread out? 20 Therefore do remind, for you are only a reminder. 21 thou art not charged to oversee them. 22 But if any turn away and reject Allah,- 23 So Allah will mete out to him the greatest punishment. 24 for behold, unto Us will be their return, 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
