Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a known term? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 The living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
