Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; 1 And I do call to witness the self-reproaching spirit: (Eschew Evil). 2 Thinketh man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We have the power to remould even his finger-tips. 4 In fact, people want to have eternal life in this world. 5 He asks, “When will be the Day of Resurrection?” 6 When the eye is bewildered, 7 And the moon is eclipsed 8 and the sun and the moon are joined together, 9 That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" 10 No indeed; not a refuge! 11 With your Lord alone shall on that day be the place of rest. 12 On that Day, man will be told of all that he has sent before and what he has left behind. 13 But lo, man is well aware of himself, 14 Although he tender his excuses. 15 (Muhammad), do not move your tongue too quickly to recite the Quran. 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 So when We have read it, you should thereupon follow what is read. 18 Again on Us (devolves) the explaining of it. 19 Nay, (ye men!) but ye love the fleeting life, 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 (Some) faces on that day shall be bright, 22 looking up to their Sustainer; 23 and some faces will on that Day be gloomy, 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 Nay! When it comes up to the throat, 26 and it is said: 'Who is a healing chanter' 27 And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 on that Day he will be driven towards your Lord! 30
