The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
CONSIDER the heavens and that which comes in the night! 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad) 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile). 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
