The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
READ IN THE name of your Lord who created, 1 created Man of a blood-clot. 2 Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous - 3 The One Who taught to write with the pen. 4 The One Who taught man all what he did not know. 5 And yet, but yet man is rebellious, 6 That he thinketh himself independent! 7 However, (all things) will return to your Lord. 8 Bethinkest thou him who forbiddeth, 9 a servant (of Allah) when he prays? 10 Do you think he is rightly guided, 11 or enjoins true piety? 12 Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back? 13 Does he not know that Allah sees everything? 14 Nay! if he desist not, We would certainly smite his forehead, 15 A forelock that lies, is sinful. 16 and then let him summon [to his aid] the counsels of his own [spurious] wisdom, 17 We will call the angels of Hell. 18 Yes indeed; do not listen to him – and prostrate, and become close to Us. (Command of Prostration # 14) ۩ 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
