The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven, and At-Tariq (the night-comer, i.e. the bright star); 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 (It is) the star of piercing brightness; 3 There is no soul which is not guarded (by the two angels who record all of its deeds). 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 He shall have neither strength nor helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 And it is no joke. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
