Have you not seen how your Lord spread the shadow. If He willed, He could have made it still then We have made the sun its guide [i.e. after the sunrise, it (the shadow) squeezes and vanishes at midnoon and then again appears in the afternoon with the decline of the sun, and had there been no sun light, there would have been no shadow]. 45 Then We draw it toward Us with an easy drawing. 46 And it is Allah Who has ordained the night as a garment for you, and the sleep as a repose of death, and the day as the time of return to life. 47 And He it is Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His mercy, and We send down pure water from the sky,- 48 That We may give life thereby to a dead land, and We give to drink thereof many of the cattle and men that We had created. 49 We present the same phenomenon over and over again before them so that they may learn a lesson from it; but most people decline to adopt any other attitude than of disbelief and ingratitude. 50 If We had so wished, We might have sent a warner into every town, 51 so do not yield to those who deny the truth, but strive with the utmost strenuousness by means of this [Quran, to convey its message to them]. 52 ۞ And it is He who let forth the two seas, this one Sweet, grateful to taste, and this salt, bitter to the tongue, and He set between them a barrier, and a ban forbidden. 53 And He it is Who hath created man from water, and hath appointed for him kindred by blood and kindred by marriage; for thy Lord is ever Powerful. 54 Yet they worship instead of Allah that which can neither benefit them nor hurt them. The disbeliever was ever a partisan against his Lord. 55 And We have sent you (O Muhammad SAW) only as a bearer of glad tidings and a warner. 56 Proclaim, “I do not ask any fee from you for this, except that whoever wills may take the way to his Lord.” 57 And trust thou in the Living One Who dieth not, and hymn His praise. He sufficeth as the Knower of His bondmen's sins, 58 Who created the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between them in six days, then He established Himself on the Throne - the Compassionate! so, concerning Him, ask any one informed. 59 When they are told to prostrate themselves before the Beneficent God, they say, "Who is the Beneficent God? Why should we prostrate ourselves before the one whom you have commanded us to?" This only increases their rebelliousness. ۩ 60
