And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 except for God's sincere servants; 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 and you pass by them in the morning 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
