In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Recite in the name of your Lord who created - 1 Hath created man from a clot! 2 Read, and your Lord only is the Most Beneficent, 3 Who hath taught mankind by the pen 4 The One Who taught man all what he did not know. 5 Nay, but man doth transgress all bounds, 6 For he thinks he is sufficient in himself. 7 Lo! unto thy Lord is the return. 8 What is your opinion – regarding him who forbids – 9 a servant of Ours from prayer? 10 Did you consider: what if he is on the Right Way, 11 or orders piety? 12 Bethinkest thou, if he belieth and turneth away? 13 Knows he not that Allah does see (what he does)? 14 Nay! if he desist not, We would certainly smite his forehead, 15 a lying, sinful forelock. 16 Then let him call upon his henchmen! 17 We too would summon the braves of the army. 18 By no means! Obey not thou him. Continue to adore, and continue to draw nigh. ۩ 19
