Has there reached you the story of the honored guests of Abraham? - 24 When they came to him, they said: "Peace." He answered: "Peace." They were a people he did not recognise. 25 Then he turned quickly to his household, brought out a fatted calf, 26 And he set it before them, and said: wherefore eat ye not? 27 Then he conceived a fear of them. They said, 'Be not afraid!' And they gave him good tidings of a cunning boy. 28 But his wife came forward (laughing) aloud: she smote her forehead and said: "A barren old woman!" 29 They said, "This is true but your Lord has said, (that you will have a son); He is All-wise and All-knowing". 30 ۞ Said he, 'And what is your business, envoys?' 31 They said: Surely we are sent to a guilty people, 32 To send down upon them stones of baked clay. 33 marked by your Lord upon those who go beyond the limits.” 34 Then We evacuated there from all the believers 35 but We found only one Muslim house. 36 and We left therein a Sign for those who fear the grievous chastisement. 37 And in Musa (Moses) (too, there is a sign). When We sent him to Fir'aun (Pharaoh) with a manifest authority. 38 The Pharaoh and his forces turned away from him, saying, "He is either a magician or an insane person". 39 So We seized him and his hosts and flung them in the sea, for he was reprobate. 40 And in the 'Ad (people) (was another Sign): Behold, We sent against them the devastating Wind: 41 Which turned everything it touched to ashes. 42 And in the Thamud (was another Sign): Behold, they were told, "Enjoy (your brief day) for a little while!" 43 Then they disdained the command of their Lord; wherefore the bolt laid hold of them even while they looked on. 44 they could neither stand up straight, nor were they helped. 45 (So were) the people of Nuh (Noah) before them. Verily, they were a people who were Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). 46
