Has it, then, not become obvious unto those who have inherited the earth in the wake of former generations that, if We so willed, We could smite them [too] by means of their sins, sealing their hearts so that they cannot hear [the truth]? 100 Those cities We relate to thee tidings of; their Messengers came to them with the clear signs, but they were not the ones to believe in that they had cried lies before; so God seals the hearts of the unbelievers. 101 Most of them We found not men (true) to their covenant: but most of them We found rebellious and disobedient. 102 Then after them We sent Musa (Moses) with Our Signs to Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and his chiefs, but they wrongfully rejected them. So see how was the end of the Mufsidun (mischief-makers, corrupts, etc.). 103 And Moses said: "O Pharaoh! Verily, I am an apostle from the Sustainer of all the worlds, 104 (I am) worthy of not saying anything about Allah except the truth: I have come to you indeed with clear proof from your Lord, therefore send with me the children of Israel 105 (Pharaoh) said: "If indeed thou hast come with a Sign, show it forth,- if thou tellest the truth." 106 So he threw his rod, then lo! it was a clear serpent. 107 And he drew out his hand; thereupon it was white [with radiance] for the observers. 108
