And certainly We created man of clay that gives forth sound, of black mud fashioned in shape. 26 And the jinn We created before from scorching fire. 27 And (remember) when your Lord said to the angels: "I am going to create a man (Adam) from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud. 28 So, when I have made him and have breathed into him of My Spirit, do ye fall down, prostrating yourselves unto him. 29 So, the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together. 30 Not so Iblis: he refused to be among those who prostrated themselves. 31 Allah said: O Iblis! what aileth thou that thou art not with the prostrates? 32 "How could I bow," said he, "before a mortal whom You created from fermented clay dried tingling hard?" 33 (Allah) said: "Then get thee out from here; for thou art rejected, accursed. 34 Upon thee shall rest the curse, till the Day of Doom.' 35 He said, “My Lord! Grant me respite till the day when they will all be raised.” 36 Said He, 'Thou art among the ones that are respited 37 Till the Day of appointed time. 38 [Whereupon Iblis] said: "O my Sustainer! Since Thou hast thwarted me, I shall indeed make [all that is evil] on earth seem goodly to them, and shall most certainly beguile them - into grievous error 39 [all] save such of them as are truly Thy servants!" 40 (Allah) said: "This (way of My sincere servants) is indeed a way that leads straight to Me. 41 Surely, as regards My servants, you have no authority, over them except those who follow you of the deviators. 42 And indeed hell is the promise for all of them. 43 It has seven gates and each gate is assigned for a certain group of people. 44

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
