The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 Lo! This is in the former scrolls. 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
