People of Hijr rejected the Messengers. 80 And though We had given them Our signs they turned away from them. 81 They used to hew dwellings in the mountains to live in security. 82 So the scream overcame them at morning. 83 And all that which they used to earn availed them not. 84 AND [remember:] We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them without [an inner] truth; but, behold, the Hour [when this will become clear to all] is indeed yet to come. Hence, forgive [men's failings] with fair forbearance: 85 Your Lord is certainly the All-knowing Creator. 86 We have given you the seven oft-recited verses and the great Quran. 87 Do not strain your eyes towards the worldly benefits We have bestowed on some of them, nor grieve on their account. Lower your wing of mercy for the believers 88 And say: Surely I am the plain warner. 89 (Of just such wrath) as We sent down on those who divided (Scripture into arbitrary parts),- 90 who have broken the Koran into fragments. 91 so by your Lord, We will question them all 92 For that which they have been working. 93 So proclaim that which thou art commanded, and withdraw from the idolaters. 94 For sufficient are We unto thee against those who scoff,- 95 those who set up another deity alongside Allah. They shall soon come to know. 96 We do indeed know how thy heart is distressed at what they say. 97 When (you feel so) glorify your Lord with His praise and prostrate yourself before Him, 98 Worship your Lord until you achieve the ultimate certainty. 99
