Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the loosed ones successively 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a known extent. 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
