T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha.* (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah and to whomever He reveals know their precise meanings.) 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to thee to be (an occasion) for thy distress, 2 but only as an exhortation for him who fears God; 3 It is a revelation from the Creator of the earth and the high heavens. 4 the Most Gracious, established on the throne of His almightiness? 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil. 6 Whether you speak out aloud (or in a low voice), He knows what is said secretly, and even that which is most hidden. 7 Allah – there is no worship except for Him; His only are the best names. 8 And has the story of Moses reached you? - 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family, "Wait here. I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a brand from it, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 But when he came close to it, a voice called out: "O Moses! 11 Verily I! I am thy Lord: so take off thy shoes; verily thou art into the holy valley, Tuwa. 12 I Myself have chosen thee; therefore give thou ear to this revelation. 13 "Verily, I - I alone - am God; there is no deity save Me. Hence, worship Me alone, and be constant in prayer, so as to remember Me! 14 Surely the hour is coming-- I am about to make it manifest-- so that every soul may be rewarded as it strives: 15 So do not let one avert you from it who does not believe in it and follows his desire, for you [then] would perish. 16 "And what is that in the right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said, “This is my staff; I support myself on it, and I knock down leaves for my sheep with it, and there are other uses for me in it.” 18 He said: Cast it down, O Musa! 19 So he threw it down, and lo, it became a running serpent. 20 [Allah] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition. 21 And draw in your hand to your side; it will come out white without disease - another sign, 22 That We may go on showing you Our greater signs. 23 Go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 24
