Moses said, "My Lord! open up my heart, 25 “And make my task easy for me.” 26 Remove the defect of my tongue 27 "So they may understand what I say: 28 Appoint for me of my folk a familiar, 29 Let it be my brother Aaron 30 Confirm my strength with him 31 and let him share my task 32 That we may glorify Thee much 33 and remember Thee abundantly. 34 Surely, Thou art seeing us. 35 [Allah] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses. 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on you another time (before). 37 when We revealed what was revealed unto thy mother: 38 saying: "Put him in the box and cast it into the river. The river will cast him on to the bank, and he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his." I lavished My Love on you, and to be formed in My Sight. 39 Recall, when your sister went along, saying: 'Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him?' Thus We brought you back to your mother so that her heart might be gladdened and she might not grieve. Moses, recall when you slew a person. We delivered you from distress and made you go through several trials. Then you stayed for several years among the people of Midian, and now you have come at the right moment as ordained. 40 And I have chosen you for Myself: 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs and do not slacken in My remembrance. 42 Go, both of you, to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 43 and speak to him gently, perhaps he may take heed or fear (Allah)." 44 The two [brothers] said: "O our Sustainer! Verily, we fear lest he act hastily with regard to us, or lest he [continue to] transgress all bounds of equity." 45 'Fear not,' said He. 'Surely I shall be with you, hearing and seeing. 46 So go you both to him and say: Surely we are two apostles of your Lord; therefore send the children of Israel with us and do not torment them! Indeed we have brought to you a communication from your Lord, and peace is on him who follows the guidance; 47 Lo! it hath been revealed unto us that the doom will be for him who denieth and turneth away. 48 (Firon) said: And who is your Lord, O Musa? 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave unto everything its nature, then guided it aright. 50 He said: then what happened to the former generations? 51 [Musa (Moses)] said: "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord, in a Record. My Lord is neither unaware nor He forgets, " 52 HE IT IS who has made the earth a cradle for you, and has traced out for you ways [of livelihood] thereon, and [who] sends down waters from the sky: and by this means We bring forth various kinds of plants. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle, (therein); verily, in this are proofs and signs for men of understanding. 54
