'Lord, open my breast,' said Moses, 25 and ease my task for me. 26 And loose a knot from my tongue, 27 “In order that they may understand my speech.” 28 and appoint for me a helper from among my family, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 “Back me up with him.” 31 and let him share my task, 32 That we may exalt You much 33 and remember You abundantly. 34 Lo! Thou art ever Seeing us. 35 Allah said: "You are granted your request, O Musa (Moses)! 36 And certainly We bestowed on you a favor at another time; 37 When We inspired to your mother what We inspired, 38 'Put the baby into a chest and then throw him in the river. The river will throw him up on the shore, and then an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his will take him.' And I spread My love over you in order that you might be reared in My sight. 39 [And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone, but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. And you remained [some] years among the people of Madyan. Then you came [here] at the decreed time, O Moses. 40 "And I have prepared thee for Myself (for service)".. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs and do not slacken in My remembrance. 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has waxed insolent; 43 Both of you must speak with him in a gentle manner so that perhaps he may come to himself or have fear (of God)." 44 The two [brothers] said: "O our Sustainer! Verily, we fear lest he act hastily with regard to us, or lest he [continue to] transgress all bounds of equity." 45 He said; fear not; verily I shall be with you twain: I shall hear and see. 46 "So go ye both to him, and say, 'Verily we are messengers sent by thy Lord: Send forth, therefore, the Children of Israel with us, and afflict them not: with a Sign, indeed, have we come from thy Lord! and peace to all who follow guidance! 47 for, behold, it has been revealed to us that [in the life to come] suffering shall befall all who give the lie to the truth and turn away [from it]!"' 48 Pharaoh said:" Moses! Who is the Lord of the two of you?" 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave unto everything its nature, then guided it aright. 50 Pharaoh asked: "Then, what is the state of the former generations?" 51 Moses replied, "The knowledge about it is with my Lord in the Book. My Lord is free from error and forgetfulness. 52 It is He who made the earth a bed for you, and traced for you paths upon it, and sends down water from the sky, and brings out through it every kind of vegetation 53 Eat (for yourselves) and pasture your cattle: verily, in this are Signs for men endued with understanding. 54
