The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 They who are during their prayer humbly submissive 2 Who avoid vain talk; 3 those who pay the zakat; 4 And who guard their modesty - 5 Except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (in their case) they are free from blame, 6 But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;- 7 And those who are keepers of their trusts and their covenant, 8 And who (strictly) guard their prayers;- 9 Those are the inheritors 10 who will inherit Paradise; they shall live there for ever. 11 And certainly We created man of an extract of clay, 12 Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging. 13 Then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 After that you shall surely die, 15 Then you will be raised up again on the Resurrection Day. 16 And indeed We have created seven paths above you; and We are not unmindful of the creation. 17 And We send down water from the skies in accordance with a measure [set by Us,] and then We cause it to lodge in the earth: but, behold, We are most certainly able to withdraw this [blessing]! 18 We grow orchards of dates and grapes from it for you, Which yield fruits in abundance that you eat. 19 And created the tree that comes forth from Mount Sinai – that grows containing oil and curry for the eaters. 20 And verily in the cattle for you is a lesson. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are advantages many, and of them ye eat. 21 And upon them and on ships you are carried. 22
