۞ And those who do not expect to meet Us said, “Why were the angels not sent down to us or we been able to see our Lord?” Indeed they thought too highly of themselves and they turned extremely rebellious. 21 The day when they will see the angels that day will not be of any happiness for the guilty and they will cry, “O God, erect a barrier between us and them!” 22 And We will regard what they have done of deeds and make them as dust dispersed. 23 The dwellers of Paradise on that day will have the best residence and resting place. 24 Upon the day that heaven is split asunder with the clouds and the angels are sent down in majesty, 25 The sovereignty on that Day will be the true (sovereignty), belonging to the Most Beneficent (Allah), and it will be a hard Day for the disbelievers (those who disbelieve in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism). 26 On the Day when the wrong-doer shall gnaw his hands saying: would that I had taken with the apostle a way! 27 Oh, would that I had never chosen such a one for my companion -- 28 He led me away from the true guidance after it had come to us. Satan is a traitor to people." 29 And the Apostle will say: my Lord! verily my people took this Qur'an as a thing to be shunned. 30 Thus do We keep opponents among the sinners for every apostle; yet your Lord is sufficient as a guide and helper. 31 The unbelievers say: "Why was the whole Qur'an not sent down all at once to him?" It was sent thus that We may keep your heart resolute. So We enunciated it by steps and distinctly. 32 And (there is another wisdom in this: whenever they brought to you an odd thing (or a strange question), We sent its right answer to you in time and explained it all in the best manner, 33 Those who will be gathered to Hell (prone) on their faces,- they will be in an evil plight, and, as to Path, most astray. 34
