The people of Noah also rejected the messengers. 105 When their brother Noah said to them: "Will you not take heed? 106 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 107 Have fear of God and obey me. 108 For this I ask of you no wage, for my wage falls only on the Lord of the Worlds. 109 So fear Allah and obey me." 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we accept you even though it is the meanest of people who follow you?" 111 He said, 'What knowledge have I of that they have been doing? 112 If only you would realize, their account is with my Lord. 113 I am certainly not one to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a Prophet. 115 They said: "If you cease not, O Nuh (Noah)! You will surely be among those stoned (to death)." 116 He said: my Lord! verily my people have belied me. 117 "Judge Thou, then, between me and them openly, and deliver me and those of the Believers who are with me." 118 Wherefore We delivered him and those with him in the laden ark. 119 and drowned the others. 120 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 121 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Ever Compassionate. 122
