The people of Lot denied the messengers 160 When their fellowman Lut said to them, “Do you not fear?” 161 I am a trustworthy Messenger. 162 So fear Allah and obey me. 163 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 164 What, do you come to the males of the world, 165 leaving aside those whom Allah has created for you as your mates. Nay, you are a people that has transgressed all limits." 166 They said, 'If thou givest not over, Lot, thou shalt assuredly be one of the expelled.' 167 He said, “I am disgusted with your works.” 168 'My Lord, save me and my people from that they are doing' 169 So We delivered him and his household all. 170 Except an old woman (his wife) among those who remained behind. 171 Then afterward We destroyed the others. 172 And We rained on them a rain (of torment). And how evil was the rain of those who had been warned. 173 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not Muslims. 174 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
