Then the people of Lot rejected the messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear God? 161 I am for you a faithful Messenger, 162 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 163 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 164 What! do you come to the males from among the creatures 165 leaving your wives that your Lord created for you? Nay, but you are a people of transgressors. 166 They said, “O Lut, if you do not desist, you will be expelled.” 167 He said: "I am, indeed, of those who disapprove with severe anger and fury your (this evil) action (of sodomy). 168 My Lord, save me and my family from [the consequence of] what they do." 169 So We delivered him and his household all. 170 all but an old woman, who was among those that stayed behind; 171 We destroyed the others 172 And We rained on them a rain. And dreadful is the rain of those who have been warned. 173 Surely in this there is a sign: but most of them would not believe: 174 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
