Those who do not believe, say: "When we and our fathers have turned to dust, how shall we be raised again? 67 We were promised this before, and so were our fathers. It is but the fictitious story of the ancients' 68 Say, "Travel through the land and see how terrible was the end of the criminal ones". 69 But grieve not over them, nor distress thyself because of their plots. 70 And they say: When will this threat come to pass, if you are truthful? 71 Say: "The chastisement whose hastening you have been asking for, maybe a part of it has drawn quite near to you." 72 Surely, your Lord is bountiful to the people; yet most of them do not give thanks. 73 And indeed your Lord knows what is hidden in their bosoms, and what they disclose. 74 for there is nothing [so deeply] hidden in the heavens or on earth but is recorded in [His] clear decree. 75 This Quran tells the Israelites most of the matters about which they had disputes among themselves. 76 And verily it is a guidance and a mercy unto the believers. 77 Surely your Lord in His wisdom will decide between them. He is all-mighty and all-knowing. 78 So put thy trust in God; thou art upon the manifest truth. 79 You cannot make the dead to listen, or the deaf to hear the call, when they have turned their backs, 80 Thou shalt not guide the blind out of their error neither shalt thou make any to hear, save such as believe in Our signs, and so surrender. 81 ۞ And when the word befalls them, We will bring forth for them a creature from the earth speaking to them, [saying] that the people were, of Our verses, not certain [in faith]. 82
