Corruption has appeared on land and sea with what the hands of the people earned. Therefore, they taste some of what they did in order that they return. 41 Say: 'Journey in the land and see what was the end of those who were before you. Most of them were idolaters' 42 Therefore set your attention for worshipping, before the day from Allah which cannot be averted – on that day people will be split, separated. 43 Whoever disbelieves, then the calamity of his disbelief is only on him; and those who do good deeds, are preparing for themselves. 44 God will reward the righteously striving believers through His favor. He does not love the unbelievers. 45 And of His signs is that He looses the winds, bearing good tidings and that He may let you taste of His mercy, and that the ships may run at His commandment, and that you may seek His bounty; haply so you will be thankful. 46 And indeed We sent several Noble Messengers before you, to their nations – so they came to them with clear signs – We therefore took revenge from the guilty; and it is incumbent upon Our mercy, to help the Muslims. 47 Allah is he Who sends forth the winds so they raise a cloud, then He spreads it forth in the sky as He pleases, and He breaks it up so that you see the rain coming forth from inside it; then when He causes it to fall upon whom He pleases of His servants, lo! they are joyful 48 though before its coming they had despaired. 49 Look then at the effects of Allah's mercy: what wise He quickeneth the earth after the death thereof. Verily, He is the Quickener of the dead, and He is over everything Potent. 50 But if We were to send a wind and then their tilth has become yellow, they would never cease to disbelieve. 51 So verily thou canst not make the dead to hear, nor canst thou make the deaf to hear the call, when they show their backs and turn away. 52 just as you cannot lead the blind [of heart] out of their error, you cannot make anyone hear your call save those who are willing to believe in Our revelations, and thus surrender themselves to Us and are submissive to Our will. 53
