And a sign for them is the dead earth. We have brought it to life and brought forth from it grain, and from it they eat. 33 And We produce therein orchard with date-palms and vines, and We cause springs to gush forth therein: 34 So that they may eat of the fruit thereof, and their hands made it not. Will they not, then, give thanks? 35 Glory be to Him Who created all the sexual pairs, of that which the earth groweth, and of themselves, and of that which they know not! 36 And a sign for them is the night; We strip the day out of it, thereupon they are in darkness. 37 And the sun runs on to a term appointed for it; that is the ordinance of the Mighty, the Knowing. 38 And the moon! For it We have decreed mansions till it reverteth like the old branch of a palm-tree. 39 It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor doth the night outstrip the day. They float each in an orbit. 40 That We bore their progeny in the laden ark is a sign for them; 41 and We have created for them the like of it whereon they ride; 42 And if We should will, We could drown them; then no one responding to a cry would there be for them, nor would they be saved 43 Except as a mercy from Us and provision for a time. 44 And when it is said to them: "Beware of that which is before you (worldly torments), and that which is behind you (torments in the Hereafter), in order that you may receive Mercy (i.e. if you believe in Allah's Religion Islamic Monotheism, and avoid polytheism, and obey Allah with righteous deeds). 45 None of the signs of their Lord ever comes to them but they turn away from it. 46 And when it is said unto them: expend of that wherewith Allah hath provided you, those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: shall we feed those whom God Himself would have fed, if He listed? Ye are in naught else than error manifest. 47 They say, "When will this promise be fulfilled, if you are truthful?" 48 They must be waiting for but one single blast, which will overtake them while they are still disputing. 49 Then they cannot make bequest, nor can they return to their own folk. 50
