And indeed Nuh (Noah) invoked Us, and We are the Best of those who answer (the request). 75 And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity, 76 and We made his offspring the survivors. 77 And left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the peoples! 79 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 We drowned all the others (besides Noah and his people). 82 ۞ Of his party was also Abraham; 83 He turned to his Lord with a sound heart 84 "Behold!" he said to his father and to his people, "What are these that you worship? 85 Is it a calumny, gods apart from God, that you desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds?" 87 Then he glanced a glance on the stars. 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 So turning their backs, they went away from him. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 then he turned on them, striking them down with his right hand. 93 And (his people) came toward him, hastening. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 while it is Allah Who has created you and all that you make?” 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject. 98 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 whereupon We gave him the glad tiding of a boy-child gentle [like himself]? 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, 103 And We called out to him: "O Abraham! 104 you have fulfilled the dream." It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good, 105 That was indeed a trying test. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and We preserved for him a good name among posterity. 108 'Peace be upon Abraham!' 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous. 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113
