Hizb 46

So also was Jonah among those sent (by Us). 139 When he ran to the laden ship, 140 So he shared (with them), but was of those who are cast off. 141 Then a (big) fish swallowed him and he had done an act worthy of blame. 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 He would certainly have tarried in its belly to the day when they are raised. 144 ۞ but We caused him to be cast forth on a desert shore, sick [at heart] as he was, 145 And We caused to grow, over him, a spreading plant of the gourd kind. 146 We sent him as a messenger to a hundred thousand people or more, 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 (Muhammad), ask them, "Do daughters belong to your Lord and sons to them? 149 Or created We the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Lo! it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 'God has begotten a son.' They are certainly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement? 154 Will you not then remember? 155 Or have ye a clear warrant? 156 Then produce your scriptures, if you are telling the truth. 157 And they have made between Him and the jinn a kinship whereas the jinn assuredly know that they are to be brought up 158 Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the things they ascribe (to Him)! 159 Not (so do) the Servants of Allah, sincere and devoted. 160 But as for you, and that you worship, 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 unless it be such as rushes towards the blazing fire [of his own accord]! 163 Of us there is none but hath a station assigned. 164 "And we are verily ranged in ranks (for service); 165 And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah." 166 And they surely were wont to say: 167 "Had we received guidance from the people living before us, 168 we would surely have been Allah's chosen servants.” 169 Yet they disbelieve therein. Presently they shall come to know. 170 We decreed that Our Messenger servants 171 Most surely they shall be the assisted ones 172 and that, verily, Our hosts - they indeed - would [in the end] be victorious! 173 Therefore turn away from them for some time. 174 and see, and soon they too shall see. 175 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 176 When it comes down on their plains, it will be an evil dawn for those who had been warned. 177 So turn thou from them for a while, 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. 180 and peace be upon the Messengers, 181 And praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds! 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
