Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Ha Mim. 1 [This is] a revelation from the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful - 2 The verses of this Book have been fully expounded. It is a reading in the Arabic language for the people of knowledge. 3 As a giver of good tidings and a warner; but most of them turn away, so they do not hear. 4 And say: "Our hearts are immured against what you call us to. There is a deafness in our ears, and a veil lies between us and you. So act (your way), we are acting (ours)." 5 Say: "I am a man like you, (but) it is revealed to me that your God is one God, so take the straight path to Him, and ask Him to forgive your sins. Woe to the idolaters 6 who pay not the alms, and disbelieve in the world to come. 7 For those who believe and work deeds of righteousness is a reward that will never fail. 8
