He created man and surely know what misdoubts arise in their hearts; for We are closer to him than his jugular vein. 16 When the two Receivers receive (him), seated on the right hand and on the left, 17 each word he utters shall be noted down by a vigilant guardian. 18 And the stupor of death will bring Truth (before his eyes): "This was the thing which thou wast trying to escape!" 19 And the trumpet will be blown: this is the Day of the Threatening. 20 Each soul shall come with a driver, and a witness. 21 (And unto the evil-doer it is said): Thou wast in heedlessness of this. Now We have removed from thee thy covering, and piercing is thy sight this day. 22 His companion will say: "Here is (the record) I have ready with me." 23 It will be said to the angels, “Both of you fling every excessive ungrateful, stubborn person into hell.” 24 "Who forbade what was good, transgressed all bounds, cast doubts and suspicions; 25 Who set up with Allah another god. So cast him ye twain into the torment severe. 26 ۞ Man's other self' will say: "O our Sustainer! It was not I that led his conscious mind into evil [nay,] but it had gone far astray [of its own accord]! 27 He (Allah) will say: 'Do not dispute before Me. I sent you a warning beforehand. 28 “With Me, the decree does not change, and nor do I oppress the bondmen.” 29

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
