Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 and those that carry the burden [of heavy clouds,] 2 then the easy runners (the ships); 3 And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allah's) Command; 4 Verily that which ye are promised is true; 5 And lo! the judgment will indeed befall. 6 CONSIDER the firmament full of starry paths! 7 surely you are deeply at variance [as to what to believe] -- 8 He is made to turn away from it who is (himself) averse. 9 Woe to the liars 10 Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter), 11 They ask: “When will the Day of Judgement be?” 12 Upon the day when they shall be tried at the Fire: 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 Verily, the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs (in the Paradise), 15 Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 and at dawn would ask forgiveness, 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 And in the earth there are signs for those who are sure, 20 and in your selves; what, do you not see? 21 In the sky is your provision and that which you are promised. 22 Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth - just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking. 23
