The Human (Al-Insan)
31 verses, revealed in Medina after The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman) before Divorce (Al-Talaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
WAS THERE NOT a time in the life of man when he was not even a mentionable thing? 1 We created man of a sperm-drop, a mingling, and We made him hearing, seeing. 2 We showed him the way, whether he be grateful or ungrateful. 3 [Now,] behold, for those who deny the truth, We have prepared chains, iron collars and a blazing fire, but 4 Indeed, the righteous will drink from a cup [of wine] whose mixture is of Kafur, 5 The Kafoor is a spring, from which the chosen bondmen of Allah will drink, causing it to flow wherever they wish inside their palaces. 6 They fulfill their vow and dread a Day the evil whereof shall be widespreading. 7 And they feed, for the love of Allah, the indigent, the orphan, and the captive,- 8 (Saying),"We feed you for the sake of Allah alone: no reward do we desire from you, nor thanks. 9 Verily we dread from our Lord a Day grim and distressful. 10 Therefore Allah will guard them from the evil of that day and cause them to meet with ease and happiness; 11 and will reward them for their steadfastness with Paradise and robes of silk. 12 They will recline therein on couches and they will find neither excessive heat nor cold. 13 And its shade will cover them, and its fruit clusters brought down low for them. 14 Goblets of silver are brought round for them, and beakers (as) of glass 15 goblets of silver that they have precisely measured. 16 And they will be given to drink a cup [of wine] whose mixture is of ginger 17 (Of) a fountain therein which is named Salsabil. 18 ۞ And round about them will (serve) boys of everlasting youth. If you see them, you would think them scattered pearls. 19 Whitherto you look around, you will see an abundance of bliss and the glories of a great kingdom. 20 They will have fine green silk and brocade, and they will be decked with bracelets of silver. Their Lord will provide them with a drink of pure wine. 21 [And it will be said], "Indeed, this is for you a reward, and your effort has been appreciated." 22

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
