And assuredly the dwellers of Hijr belied the sent ones. 80 And We gave them Our signs, but from them they were turning away. 81 notwithstanding that they had been wont [to enjoy Our blessings and] to hew out dwellings from the mountains, [wherein they could live] in security 82 But the Shout seized them in the morning, 83 All that they had acquired was of no avail to them. 84 And We have not created the heaven and the earth and that which is in between them save with a purpose. And verily the Hour is surely coming; so overlook thou with a seemly overlooking, 85 verily, thy Sustainer is the all-knowing Creator of all things! 86 (Muhammad), We have given you the seven most repeated (verses) and the great Quran. 87 Do not even cast your eyes towards the worldly goods We have granted to different kinds of people, nor grieve over the state they are in, but turn your loving attention to the believers instead, 88 And say: Surely I am the plain warner. 89 (Of a punishment) Like the one We sent down upon the dividers. 90 who have broken the Koran into parts, 91 By thy Lord, We will question them all. 92 for whatever they have done! 93 So proclaim that which thou art commanded, and withdraw from the idolaters. 94 We are surely sufficient to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 Who set some other god along with Allah. But they will come to know. 96 We certainly know that you feel sad about what they say against you. 97 Glorify and praise your Lord and be with those who prostrate themselves before God. 98 And worship your Lord until there comes unto you the certainty (i.e. death). 99
