So did you observe him who turned away? 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah). 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 Which then of thy Lord's benefits wilt thou doubt? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
