Seest thou one who turns back, 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 And also the people of Nuh aforetime. Verily they were even greater wrong-doers and more contumacious. 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 And will ye laugh and not weep,- 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
