The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Beneficent (God) 1 has imparted this Qur'an [unto man]. 2 Created man, 3 He has taught him speech (and intelligence). 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning. 5 And the grasses and the trees bow (to Him) in adoration. 6 And the sky He hath uplifted; and He hath set the measure, 7 That ye should not trespass in respect of the balance. 8 weigh, therefore, [your deeds] with equity, and cut not the measure short! 9 And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures, 10 Therein are fruit and palm-trees sheathed. 11 Grain with husk, and fragrant grasses. 12 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 13 He has created man from dry, rotten clay like the potter's, 14 And the jinns did He create from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 16 He is the Lord of the East and West through all seasons. 17 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 18 He has set the two oceans in motion, converging together. 19 Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress: 20 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 21 Pearls and corals come forth from both of them. 22 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 23 To Him only belong the sailing ships, raised above the sea like hills. 24 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 25
