The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ The Most Beneficent (Allah)! 1 has taught the Koran. 2 Created man, 3 Has taught him the knowledge of the past and the future. 4 The sun and the moon are made punctual. 5 And the grasses and the trees bow (to Him) in adoration. 6 And the heaven! He hath elevated it, and He hath set the balance. 7 That you may not be inordinate in respect of the measure. 8 And establish the measures justly, nor decrease the due weight. 9 And the earth, He has set it for living creatures; 10 therein fruits, and palm-trees with sheaths, 11 And the grain with (its) husk and fragrance. 12 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 13 He created man from clay like that of earthenware. 14 And created jinns from the white-hot flame of fire. 15 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 16 Lord of the East and Lord of the West. 17 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 18 He has set flowing two seas that appear to meet. 19 and between them is a barrier which they do not overpass. 20 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 21 From these seas come forth pearls and coral. 22 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 23 His are the high-sailed vessels in deep ocean like the mountains. 24 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 25
