Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Blest be He in whose hand is the dominion, and He is over everything Potent. 1 He Who created Death and Life, that He may try which of you is best in deed: and He is the Exalted in Might, Oft-Forgiving;- 2 Who hath created seven heavens in harmony. Thou (Muhammad) canst see no fault in the Beneficent One's creation; then look again: Canst thou see any rifts? 3 Then turn back the eye again and again; your look shall come back to you confused while it is fatigued. 4 And certainly We have adorned this lower heaven with lamps and We have made these missiles for the Shaitans, and We have prepared for them the chastisement of burning. 5 And for those who disbelieve in their Lord is the punishment of hell, and evil is the resort. 6 When they are cast into it they shall hear it sighing, while it boils 7 It almost bursts up with fury. Every time a group is cast therein, its keeper will ask: "Did no warner come to you?" 8 They will say: “Yes, a warner came to us, but we gave the lie to him and said: 'Allah has revealed nothing. You are surely in huge error.' 9 They will say, "If we had only listened or understood, we should not now be among the inmates of Hell," 10 So now they admit their sins! Therefore accursed be the people of hell! 11 As for those who fear their Lord unseen, for them is Forgiveness and a great Reward. 12 And whether you speak softly or proclaim it aloud; He indeed knows what lies within the hearts! 13 Shall not He who hath created know? And He is the Subtile, the Aware. 14
