Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true. 5 And lo! the judgment will indeed befall. 6 By the heaven with its passages, 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 perverted in his views thereon is he who would deceive himself! 9 They but destroy themselves, they who are given to guessing at what they cannot ascertain 10 who are dazed in perplexity 11 They ask: When is the Day of Judgment? 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (and tested) over the Fire! 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 They shall receive what their Lord will bestow on them. They have done good works in the past, 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 And in the dawns they prayed for forgiveness. 18 And in their property was a portion due to him who begs and to him who is denied (good). 19 For those with sure belief there are signs in the earth, 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth it is sure, even as it is a fact that ye are speaking. 23
