Have you not seen how those who dispute the revelations of God, turn away from Truth to falsehood? 69 Those who belie the Book and that message wherewith We sent Our apostles, presently they shall come to know. 70 When the yokes (shall be) round their necks, and the chains; they shall be dragged along- 71 and are dragged into burning despair, and in the end become fuel for the fire [of hell]. 72 Then it is said unto them: Where are (all) that ye used to make partners (in the Sovereignty) 73 “As rivals to Allah?”; they will say, “We have lost them – in fact we never used to worship anything before!”; this is how Allah sends the disbelievers astray. 74 That is because you exulted in the land unjustly and because you behaved insolently. 75 Enter the gates of hell to live therein forever. How terrible is the dwelling of the arrogant ones. 76 So be patient [Prophet], for God's promise is true: whether We show you part of what We have promised them in this life, or cause you to die first, it is to Us that they will be recalled. 77 We did aforetime send messengers before thee: of them there are some whose story We have related to thee, and some whose story We have not related to thee. It was not (possible) for any messenger to bring a sign except by the leave of Allah: but when the Command of Allah issued, the matter was decided in truth and justice, and there perished, there and then those who stood on Falsehoods. 78
